Job Responsibility

Provides technical and managerial leadership for the Electrical Engineering Department
Motivates employees toward goals of electrical system safety and reliability
Coordinates the daily activities of the Electrical Engineering Department
Oversees implementation of tools used to evaluate and prioritize departmental assignments
Supervises staff as required to provide technical support for Operations and Maintenance
Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with local utility company to include routine communications and long range planning to improve power supply reliability
Maintains monthly communications either directly or by delegating to other engineering staff in the electrical reliability group
Maintains minutes of said meetings for distribution to appropriate refinery personnel
Manages the Electrical Engineering and Specialist staff to optimize the technical support
Supervises Engineering and Specialist support on all electrical power distribution equipment for capital projects
