Job Responsibility

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on critical electrical systems
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex faults in plant equipment and automation systems
  • Working hands-on with PLCs, digital drives, and AC/DC motors
  • Interpreting technical drawings to ensure all work meets high engineering standards
  • Contributing to technical investigations and improvement activities to boost plant performance
  • Upholding rigorous Health, Safety, and Environmental standards

Requirements

  • HNC level qualification, typically gained through a craft or modern apprenticeship in electrical/process control engineering
  • Previous experience in a plant or heavy industrial environment
  • Deep understanding of modern electrical systems and safety protocols, paired with strong fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and effectively communicate with the wider team

  • Performs any type of electric arc and acetylene welding and cutting assignments using generally accepted welding and cutting procedures (includes soldering, brazing, inert gas welding, etc.)
  • Must be proficient in the safe use of all machine shop equipment, hand tools, power tools and precision instruments
  • Perform regular fire and safety inspection and issues reports
