Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Electrical Construction Supervisor within a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to ongoing asset upgrades to improve project performance, this 3 month casual contract opportunity is available. The Electrical Construction Supervisor will play a critical role in managing and coordinating ongoing capital projects across the mine processing plant and other non-processing infrastructure.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and manage construction activities across a variety of projects
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements
Supervise and coordinate a team of construction personnel, subcontractors and equipment
Implement and promote safe work procedures and practices
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and implement corrective solutions
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress, and resource utilisation
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure project success
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain high standards of quality and safety
Participate in planning meetings and contribute to the development of project schedules
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Supervisor in a heavy industry (ideally mining) environment
Proven track record of managing construction projects safely and efficiently
Strong understanding of mining operations, construction techniques and equipment
Excellent knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate stakeholders including contractors
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Electrical trade qualifications or other relevant trade are highly regarded
Valid driver's license
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement
