Responsible for providing engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical facilities, whilst under direct supervision. This position is also responsible for participating in the MEP design process, witnessing and/or performing the static and dynamic testing of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, and for operating the system in normal, maintenance, and failure modes of operations.
Job Responsibility:
Assists in the development of commissioning plans
Assists in engineering design reviews
Interprets design and specification under direct supervision
Works in conjunction with senior engineers to fully understand scope and design as well as resolve issues
Reviews shop drawings and submittals under direct supervision
Develops MEP test procedures under direct supervision
Develops MEP operating procedures under direct supervision
Provides input in the development of site specific load bank plans
Provides input in the development of commissioning schedules
Witnesses and/or performs the static and dynamic testing of MEP Systems
Conducts site observation surveys and prepares field reports
Prepares daily reports, issue logs, and identifies corrective measures for on-site problems affecting commissioning
Familiarizes oneself with site specific requirements and the latest equipment and functional concepts
Follows and obeys all project specific safety requirements and company specific safety requirements and protocols
Performs routine calculations
Seeks to obtain and maintain accreditations pertinent to position
Assists the project manager in the reasonable execution of project tasks
Receives instruction from senior engineers and ensures proper execution of assigned tasks
Participates in professional trade associations and societies
Performs various administrative duties
Requirements:
Pertinent and/or relevent industry experience
one to two years related experience and/or training
or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to obtain CPR and/or basic First Aid
Ability to obtain OSHA 10
Ability to obtain NFPA70E
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups
Ability to calculate figures and amounts
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
Knowledge of Deltek and Microsoft Office 365
