A large independent connections provider with a very broad and exciting range of projects. In addition to large solar connections, the company also works extensively with heavy industries, demand side response generation, battery energy storage and large private connections to the grid. Reporting to the Electrical Design Manager, you’ll help create CAD drawings for the electrical parts of the project. This can range from involvement in generating single line diagrams, multi-core schematics, block protection, low voltage switch board systems, earthing drawings or cable sizing. This ideally suits a graduate with an electrically related degree / similar with practical AutoDesk/AutoCAD knowledge or an existing electrical CAD Technician with an interest in delivering highly varied projects. Progression in the business is well supported and further development opportunities / professional memberships are available.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assists Design Engineers in the liaison with the Client, suppliers and external sub-contractors to ensure design is completed in accordance with the specification
  • Assisting with the preparation of electrical engineering drawings
  • Assisting with data depiction and drawing modifications

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Autodesk
  • Previous experience compiling electrical design drawings
  • Ideally, knowledge of LVAC / wiring schematics / cable design
  • Interest in pursuing development to Design Engineer
