My client is seeking a reliable and skilled day & night Electrical Shift Engineer to join their team in the London area on a temporary 3-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across the site, ensuring operational assets experience minimal downtime. Working within a team of engineers, you will maintain high standards of competency and safety, delivering exceptional service to the client and contributing to overall customer satisfaction. You will provide technical support, advice, and guidance to both the client and team members, demonstrating best value when progressing repairs and minor works. Ownership of the site service is essential, ensuring all works are completed safely, accurately, and within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
Job Responsibility:
Work collaboratively within a team of engineers to uphold the highest standards and competencies
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks to minimise operational downtime
Keep the client and team regularly updated on progress and issues
Contribute to delivering a quality service aimed at achieving 100% customer satisfaction
Provide technical support, advice, and guidance to the client and team
Demonstrate best value when managing repairs and minor works
Ensure all works, including those by service partners, are delivered safely
Maintain accuracy and ensure all tasks are completed within SLA requirements

Requirements:
Proven experience in electrical maintenance and shift engineering roles
Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Excellent communication skills for client and team updates
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Commitment to health and safety standards and safe working practices
Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks to meet SLAs
Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
Experience in managing minor works and repairs with cost-effectiveness
Ownership and accountability for site service delivery
Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or CAFM (desirable)
