Minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent
Pre-existing authorisation to work for midlands distribution network operator (NGED) - desirable
Distribution Network experience within the Electrical Supply Industry
Ability to give direction in application of Distribution Safety Rules, safety procedures and codes of practice in combination with health & safety legislation requirements
Familiarity with relevant network diagram software programs

Job Responsibility

Act in the capacity of a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) up to 33kV in accordance with the electricity supply industry Model Distribution Safety Rules (MDSR)
Responsible for electrical safety management for any project which they have made safe for others to work upon, ensuring wherever possible compliance to asset owner standards
May also have project manager responsibilities for a portfolio of projects ensuring their safe and timely delivery
Manage projects to the highest safety standards - zero harm
Responsible for site safety and work quality and compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards - compliance with health and safety legislation
