The Electrical Assembler II builds and integrates electrical harness assemblies used in ASI's autonomous vehicle platforms. This role focuses on constructing full harness assemblies using pegboards and engineering schematics while ensuring compliance with assembly and quality standards. As a Level II assembler, this role independently assembles harnesses with multiple connectors, performs more advanced soldering and crimping operations, and supports prototype vehicle builds. The position collaborates closely with engineers and technicians to ensure harness builds meet design intent and production quality expectations.
Job Responsibility
Build electrical harnesses using pegboards and harness assembly drawings
Perform crimping operations for multiple connector types and wire gauges
Perform soldering tasks including splices and connector terminations
Assemble harnesses containing multiple leads and connectors
Interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
Perform continuity checks and electrical verification of harness assemblies
Identify issues or discrepancies in harness documentation and notify engineering teams
Support prototype vehicle harness installation and testing
Maintain quality standards and documentation for harness builds
Requirements
2–5 years of experience building wiring harnesses or electrical assemblies
Experience working from electrical schematics or harness drawings
Strong understanding of crimping tools and connector termination processes
Experience assembling pegboard harnesses
Ability to perform soldering operations including splices and backfill techniques
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Nice to have
IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or similar harness assembly training
Experience assembling harnesses for robotics, vehicles, or industrial systems
