Job Responsibility:
Support the design team in electrical equipment in high, medium and low voltage substations
Produce sketches and drawings, instructions, material lists and other related documents for the design of electrical/protection and control/civil/structural components utilized in electrical power generation, transmission, transformation and distribution systems
Fills out the product documentation and drawing sets
Manage and order plans from our clients
Support the design team in the managing of the various engineering projects
Consult with the engineers and production staff during the production phase
Produce and check drawings according to the drawing’s standards of the company, the customer and the applicable regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
Certificate in electrical drafting or equivalent, with 2–5 years of experience (experience with public utilities is an asset)
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and familiarity with BIM tools (e.g., Revit) for integrated design workflows is an asset
Ability to produce accurate electrical arrangement drawings (plan, elevation and details), single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Knowledge of electrical power generation, transmission, transformation, and distribution systems, including associated equipment and materials
Understanding of applicable drafting standards
Skilled in preparing and managing project documentation, material lists, and drawing sets according to company and client standards
Competence in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
Adaptability, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to continuous learning
Keen observation skills, curiosity, and ingenuity in design.
