Electric Motor Field Service Technician

• Removal and Reinstallation of shop-serviced equipment, including electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes
• Utilizing basic rigging skills to safely move and position equipment on and off foundations and transportation means
• Performing precision alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators and laser alignment equipment
• Conducting mechanical diagnostics on operational equipment, utilizing vibration analysis along with physical inspection and visual examination
• Performing in-place repairs and field maintenance on existing equipment within customer facilities
• Interfacing directly with customers/end users to assist in determining the cause of mechanical failures and to help develop proactive solutions to prevent future issues
• Completing required written reports and documentation for all work performed on customer sites

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in mechanical environments
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to industrial safety environments and practices
• Knowledge of rigging practices is required
• Training and experience in vibration analysis, laser alignment, and the repair of electric motors, pumps, and generators is highly desired
• High mechanical aptitude is required
• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete written reports
• Must be a good communicator, possess a positive team player attitude, and show overall motivation to succeed
• Ability to meet physical requirements for the position, ability to lift something up to 50lbs
