Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled eLearning Writer to join our client's team on a part-time, long-term contract role. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and developing engaging learning content for adult learners. Your expertise in instructional writing and content development will help transform complex ideas into accessible and meaningful training materials.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop clear, structured, and engaging instructional content tailored to adult learners
  • Write and refine course manuscripts in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Apply principles of storytelling and plain language to simplify complex topics
  • Ensure all content aligns with adult learning theories, accessibility standards, and equity-focused objectives
  • Utilize tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline to create interactive learning materials
  • Work iteratively to improve content based on feedback and learner data
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Translate ambiguous or loosely defined inputs into ready-to-use materials for learners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-quality learning experiences
  • Stay updated on best practices in eLearning design and instructional writing

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instructional Designer or Learning Experience Designer
  • Proven ability to write instructional content, including course scripts and learning narratives
  • Proficiency in eLearning tools such as Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline (portfolio required)
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and online training best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience translating complex ideas into clear, learner-focused materials
  • Familiarity with tools like Vyond and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with SMEs and team members
