Our client, a leading software development company, is looking for a Secret Cleared Elastic Architect/SME for an initial 1-3 week contract position, located in Huntsville, Alabama. The consultant will be working onsite, 5 days a week, providing an assessment to evaluating overall cluster health and identify opportunities to optimize performance; review shard strategy and allocation; review ILM (information lifecycle management) policies and data lifecycle management. Post-assessment they will need to support stabilization and optimization tasks, including: right-sizing VM CPU, memory, and storage; validate shard count and allocation strategy; and review and tune ILM policies to reduce cluster pressure. There may be an additional need for a platform modernization effort, supporting migration from VM-based deployment to containers (Docker or Podman) to improve resource isolation, resilience, and scalability.
Job Responsibility:
Providing an assessment to evaluating overall cluster health and identify opportunities to optimize performance
Review shard strategy and allocation
Review ILM (information lifecycle management) policies and data lifecycle management

Requirements:
Must possess an Active DoD Secret Level Clearance
Experience evaluating and optimizing overall cluster health and performance
Experience reviewing and validating shard count and allocation strategy
Experience reviewing and tuning ILM policies to reduce cluster pressure
Experience supporting migration from VM-based deployment to containers (Docker or Podman) to improve resource isolation, resilience, and scalability
