This isn't just a data role; it is a pivotal position within the Market Research Unit (MRU). You will be responsible for providing the evidence base that drives national public health behavior change campaigns. You will work where data meets creativity, ensuring every government message is underpinned by robust behavioral insights.
Job Responsibility:
Manage behavioral research projects that define target audiences and inform the strategic direction of public health campaigns
Project manage external consultants to test campaign creative and messaging, ensuring they resonate with the public before launch
Lead the procurement of research services, ensuring the department partners with the best market research and behavioral agencies
Act as the key advisor to internal Comms and Policy teams, translating complex research findings into clear, actionable campaign recommendations
Oversee post-campaign analysis and reporting to measure the effectiveness of behavior change initiatives
Prepare Ministerial correspondence and government briefings that justify campaign expenditure based on research evidence
Requirements:
Proven experience managing research projects that inform large-scale communication or social marketing campaigns
Strong understanding of how to apply behavioral insights and psychological theories to public health behavior change
Demonstrated ability to manage external research vendors and navigate complex government procurement frameworks
Ability to 'tell the story' of the data, influencing senior stakeholders and the Director of the MRU with high-level reports and infographics
