We are currently partnering with a prominent Federal Government client in the disability sector, to recruit an exciting and critical role: EL1 Project Coordinator/Manager – New Framework Planning. This position sits within a complex program environment and is vital to driving strategic delivery outcomes, maintaining governance discipline, and ensuring informed decision-making.
Job Responsibility
Project Delivery & Execution: Lead the planning, delivery, and closure of projects
develop schedules, monitor performance, and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies
Program Governance & Reporting: Prepare high-quality reports, ministerial briefings, and governance papers
support Steering Committees and Program Boards with clear insights
Planning & Coordination: Coordinate activities across multiple delivery streams to ensure integration, identify interdependencies, and support resource allocation
Risk & Change Management: Lead risk assessments, manage change control processes, and promote a proactive risk and continuous improvement culture
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, executives, and cross-agency partners
People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop team members to build capability and ensure high-quality outputs aligned with governance standards
Requirements
Project Capabilities: Strong project coordination, governance, and assurance capabilities with the ability to apply structured methodologies (e.g., project lifecycles, stage gates)
Master Scheduling Experience: Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated master schedules in complex, multi-program environments (i.e., established experience as a Master Scheduler, not solely as a Project Manager)
Technical Tool Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project (or equivalent scheduling tools) and familiarity with enterprise project management tools
Schedule & Risk Expertise: Strong expertise in dependency management, critical path analysis, schedule risk management, and a deep understanding of governance frameworks
Data Analysis & Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and schedule integrity
proven ability to synthesise complex schedule data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
Strategic Communication: Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with a proven ability to lead teams, exercise sound judgment, and influence outcomes
Qualifications: Formal qualifications or equivalent experience in project/program coordination
