Job Responsibility

Follow Terracon safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Be a leader in safety
Prepare proposals (scopes and cost estimates) for projects of varying size and complexity under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer
Participate in pre-task planning meetings with the drill crew(s) for each field exploration
Join the driller/drill crew to assist with the completion of field explorations as necessary
Review field logs and field cone sounding data
Assign laboratory testing on each soil sample
Evaluate laboratory and/or field data to prepare typed logs for incorporation into deliverables
Perform geotechnical engineering calculations and evaluations
Apply sound engineering principles to prepare geotechnical reports/letters/addendums containing written geotechnical recommendations
Communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical and industrial control system design. Strong experience designing complex low-voltage industrial control systems in compliance with UL and CEC standards. Job Responsibility

Develop electrical and instrumentation designs for industrial and water treatment facilities
Prepare and maintain instrument lists, automatic valve lists, datasheets, termination drawings, and installation details
Design low-voltage industrial control systems in compliance with applicable standards and regulations
Create and review single-line diagrams, load lists, I/O lists, panel layouts, schematics, and network architectures
Select instrumentation and electrical equipment with a strong focus on operational safety and system reliability
Design control panels and specify equipment for hazardous locations, including Class I Division 2 environments
Review, interpret, and provide technical input on engineering documentation such as P&IDs, General Arrangements (GAs), design guidelines, and technical specifications
Interpret customer and contract requirements and ensure designs comply with project specifications
Perform engineering calculations and prepare supporting technical documentation
