Job Description

The EHS Training Manager is responsible for managing the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) training programs across the organization. With 2-5 years of experience, the EHS Training Manager will lead training initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a thorough understanding of EHS principles.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and manage EHS training programs that meet the needs of various departments and locations
  • Create and update training materials, ensuring they are current, relevant, and compliant with regulations
  • Lead training sessions, workshops, and seminars to educate employees on EHS practices
  • Supervise and mentor EHS Training Specialists and other junior staff members
  • Coordinate with department heads and regional managers to identify training needs and tailor programs accordingly
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the organization
  • Ensure all training programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies
  • Oversee the maintenance of training records, certifications, and compliance documentation
  • Prepare and submit reports on training activities, outcomes, and compliance to senior management
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement changes as needed
  • Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to enhance training content
  • Conduct assessments and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in EHS training or a related role
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and training management software
