You will join our client as an EHS Specialist at San Fernando, California manufacturing site, taking ownership of environmental, health, and safety programs that protect people and the environment. In this on-site role, you will partner with Operations and Corporate EHS to translate complex California requirements into practical improvements that workers feel every day. You will shape long-term EHS plans, measure performance with clear metrics, and drive sustainable change that aligns with industry best practices and the client’s culture of People First and continuous improvement. As the primary EHS Specialist for the facility, you will support daily operations, lead the site’s compliance obligations, and help the team embed EHS into daily management. You will be expected to communicate clearly, show visible leadership, and influence across functions to reduce risk and prevent incidents. You will also collaborate with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders to maintain certification programs and keep permits up to date.
Job Responsibility
Daily oversight and execution of EHS activities
support the site EHS strategic and operating plans
drive a proactive EHS culture through engagement and visible leadership
set annual EHS goals, metrics, and leading indicators
embed EHS into daily management systems
maintain compliance with Federal, State, Local regulations and standards
lead risk assessments, IH monitoring, and corrective actions
manage environmental programs, permits, and regulatory reporting
deliver regulatory compliance training
coordinate with EHS HQ on projects
maintain EHS metrics and documentation
ensure personnel understand environmental certifications and permit requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety engineering, health sciences, or related field
5–8+ years of progressive EHS leadership in manufacturing
deep knowledge of California EHS regulations
ability to influence and partner across operations
