Proclinical is seeking an EHS Project Manager to support environmental health and safety initiatives for facilities operations and construction projects. This role will focus on developing and implementing EHS programs, ensuring compliance, and fostering continuous improvement. The position is based in Lexington, MA, with occasional work in Waltham, MA.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs, including safe work permits, Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), confined space entry, hazard communication, chemical hygiene, and hearing conservation
Oversee the design and execution of safety initiatives to ensure compliant and effective operations
Act as a liaison between EHS teams, general contractors, and project stakeholders
Enhance risk assessment processes to proactively identify and mitigate risks
Lead investigations into compliance concerns and regulatory questions
Support the development and implementation of EHS Management Systems
Collaborate with functional business units to align site practices with enterprise standards
Respond to emergencies and lead effectively in critical situations
Perform other duties as needed to support EHS and site objectives
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of EHS principles, laws, and regulations
Proven ability to design and implement EHS Management Systems and safety programs
Experience assessing processes and equipment for risks and implementing hazard control measures
Background in research laboratories, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environments
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate records and respond effectively in emergencies
Familiarity with industry practices, techniques, and standards
Nice to have:
Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are preferred but not required
