Job Description

H.B. Fuller is a growing specialty chemical business in adhesives seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager within its Building Adhesive Solutions (BAS) division. This role will support the Houston site in the greater Houston metro area, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. The EHS Manager will provide technical EHS, security, and sustainability support to site leadership, operations, and maintenance teams, reporting directly to the Global EHS Director for BAS.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement EHS programs to control environmental, health, safety, and security risks while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Track sustainability data and initiatives for the site
  • Ensure full implementation of injury, illness, and incident prevention programs
  • Investigate serious incidents and accidents
  • communicate findings to management
  • Serve as company representative with government agencies on EHS matters
  • Ensure compliance with air and water permits (minor source air and stormwater discharge)
  • Maintain site environmental plans (SWPPP, SPCC, HWCP, P3 Plan)
  • Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) program, including hazard analysis, mechanical integrity, and employee participation
  • Manage and coordinate Emergency Response Plan with internal teams and external agencies
  • Oversee waste management activities and identify waste minimization opportunities
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs
  • maintain training calendar and records
  • Assist with employee safety recognition programs and drive annual EHS Operating Plan
  • Promote housekeeping and organization through 5S initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) programs (plus)
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations (plus)
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams
  • Experience with Safety Management and Learning Systems (plus)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills for EHS data management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to influence and collaborate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, onsite or remotely as needed
