Job Description:

The EHS Engineer is responsible for protecting the health and safety of employees, preserving the environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting an EHS culture, preventing accidents and injuries, supporting emergency response, and conducting incident investigations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Keeping legal permits updated with the authorities
  • Ensuring compliance with Mexican Official Standards (NOMs) regarding Safety, Health, and the Environment
  • Following up on corporate programs
  • Supervising the personnel under their charge (security guards, cleaning staff)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field
  • Intermediate–advanced level of English
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental compliance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulations, including STPS, SEMARNAT, Civil Protection regulations, and industrial safety standards
  • Experience with fire protection systems and CTPAT compliance
  • Management and administration of emergency response brigades
  • Knowledge in ergonomics, internal/external audits, and safety metrics
