Job Description:

Amentum is seeking a EHS Analyst to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission on Andros Island, Bahamas. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Gathers, compiles and continually updates EHS data from all AUTEC departments in several EHS databases or share drives
  • Creates reports in support of the EHS program objectives
  • Provide data to support the planning, design, review, and evaluation of incident and near miss reduction programs
  • Monitors trends in data analysis to identify opportunities, issues, and concerns, which may impact future initiatives in EHS
  • Collaborates with EHS Manager and staff to formulate process improvements
  • Supports the Root Cause Analysis process including the review, categorization, research, and analysis of data
  • Assists in the development of ISO processes and monitors statistical data that supports compliance
  • Updates EHS metrics and tracks monthly performance against program's monthly goals
  • Provides basic office administrative tasks as required to include the use of MAXIMO
  • Act as Department Hurricane, Training, Property, and Supply coordinator
  • May need to provide field support in Environmental, Safety, Health and Explosive programs as necessary and feasible to include facility, grounds, process, and documentation inspections and audits
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3 years of office experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must obtain the Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals within 9 months of start date
  • Obtain a minimum of 5 continuing education credits per year if providing field support, or 30 continuing education hours over five years if not providing field support
  • Must be physically capable of sitting, standing, walking, squatting, and climbing frequently or for long periods of time in austere working conditions, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities
  • Valid U.S. passport and driver's license will be required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance

Nice to have:

  • 1-3 years of experience in health & safety in general industry, construction, maritime, aviation, quality control, or security
  • An associate degree or equivalent is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge and experience creating ISO procedures, knowledge of workplace ES&H programs, compliance solutions, and training is beneficial
  • Experience with the Maximo, ESAMS, RMI, OnPoint, and Intelex databases is a plus
