Job Responsibility

  • Support development and implementation of site-specific EHS programs, including risk assessments, hazard identification, and welfare plans during groundworks and build phases
  • Deliver and maintain safety induction, toolbox talks, and training materials for contractors, subcontractors, and site staff
  • Coordinate with construction & engineering teams to ensure safe work practices, PPE compliance, and environmental protection in line with German and EU regulations
  • Perform incident investigations, root cause analysis, and help implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Monitor environmental controls, including dust, noise, chemical handling, and waste, ensuring alignment with green construction goals (e.g., energy efficiency, water conservation)
  • Act as liaison with local authorities, auditors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely EHS reporting and compliant documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on EHS experience within construction or advanced manufacturing environments, preferably with exposure to high-tech/cleanroom or semiconductor projects
  • In-depth knowledge of German (e.g., ArbSchG, GefahrstoffV) and EU EHS regulations, plus standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Certifications such as SIGEKO (SiGe-Koordinator), NEBOSH, or ISO Lead Auditor are highly advantageous
  • Fluent in English
  • functional German language ability is a strong plus
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style – able to influence multi-disciplinary teams and on-site contractors
  • Flexibility to be based in or near Dresden
  • A valid Visa/Work permit for the specific job location is essential for this role
