Job Responsibility

  • Regular Production Floor Visits: Support a safe working environment by conducting assessments, investigations, and data collection
  • Collaboration with Operational Team: Work closely with the team to successfully implement EHS initiatives and improvements
  • Scheduling and Leading Activities: Schedule safety training for new hires, lead Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) activities, and coordinate safety drills
  • Documentation and Event Coordination: Prepare and distribute EHS-related documentation, coordinate waste pickups, and prioritize plant EHS events
  • Filing and Coordinating: Maintain and coordinate EHS documents efficiently

Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Ontario Grade 12 Equivalency program
  • Diploma in Environmental, Health, and Safety programs (excluding JHSC)
  • Demonstrated capability to display and advocate for environmental, health, and safety principles
  • Technology competence
  • High comfort level in interacting with employees
  • JHSC certificate
  • 1-2 years of applicable experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to collaborate successfully within a team setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptability to changing priorities
  • Ability to perform effectively despite frequent interruptions
