The EHOD Digital, VAS & Devices is responsible for defining and leading Vodacom DRC’s digital services, value‑added services (VAS), and device ecosystem strategy, with the objective of driving digital revenue growth, customer engagement, and network monetization. The role oversees the end‑to‑end digital ecosystem, including digital content platforms, lifestyle services, the Vodacom Super App, and device enablement, ensuring seamless integration between connectivity, content, devices, and payments. This position is accountable for positioning Vodacom as a leading digital lifestyle and device‑enabled platform in the DRC market, while building scalable revenue streams and strong partnerships with global and local digital players.
Job Responsibility:
Define and execute the Digital, VAS & Devices strategy aligned with Vodacom’s digital transformation agenda
Lead the development of an integrated digital and device ecosystem combining content, services, devices, payments, and lifestyle platforms
Identify new growth opportunities across digital services, smart devices, and emerging technologies (AI, gaming, ed tech, health tech, creator economy)
Oversee the full lifecycle of digital content platforms, education, health & lifestyle services, digital advertising and e commerce integrations, consumer devices and digital enablement tools
Define and optimize monetization models (subscriptions, bundled data & device offers, freemium and transactional models, advertising supported services)
Ensure all services and devices are optimized for mobile first and low bandwidth environments
Lead the commercial strategy and roadmap of the Vodacom Super App
Position the Super App as the central digital lifestyle hub
Define and track KPIs (MAU, Engagement, In app revenue, Service and device adoption)
Drive digital revenue growth through VAS, content, and device enabled services
Link digital and device usage to data consumption growth and ARPU uplift
Identify upsell and cross sell opportunities across customer segments
Support monetization of network investments through content and device ecosystems
Build and manage partnerships with global OTT platforms, local and regional content providers, device manufacturers and distributors, EdTech, HealthTech, Gaming and AdTech partners
Negotiate commercial, licensing, and revenue sharing agreements
Promote local digital content and device innovation
Drive digital engagement initiatives through gamification, influencer marketing, social media integration, device led adoption campaigns
Develop digital loyalty initiatives tied to content and device usage
Embed daily digital habits among customers
Establish and track KPIs including MAU, digital subscriptions, engagement time, digital & device driven revenue, ARPU uplift
Use analytics to optimize customer experience and service performance
Work closely with Segments & Product, Technology & IT, Network, CVM & Marketing, Legal & Regulatory
Ensure scalability, compliance, and strong go to market execution
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Digital Media, Telecoms, Business, Marketing, or Technology
MBA is an advantage
10+ years in telecom, digital platforms, media, or technology
Proven experience in: Digital services monetization, Platform ecosystems, OTT & device partnerships, Consumer digital growth
