Job Description:

Improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Gloucestershire.

Job Responsibility:

  • Part of the EHCP team, working as part of a team of officers who support mediation and resolution work and timely and meaningful annual reviews
  • Work closely with education providers, developing strong working relationships across education, health, social care, and with young people and their families to improve outcomes and ensure access to inclusive and appropriate education for all children and young people with SEND

Requirements:

  • Excellent relational and communication skills
  • Ability to work co-productively and creatively with other professionals, children and young people and their families
  • Excellent understanding of SEN legislation
  • Empathy for the challenges that young people and their families experience
  • Competence in assessing and reviewing the needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and its application
