Job Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Essex for 2 experienced EHC Coordinators to join either the Assessment or Casework teams. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to make a real difference for children and young people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a dedicated caseload
  • Manage either: New EHC assessments (approx. 40–60 cases) or Existing EHC plans (approx. 200–240 cases)
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local authority policies
  • Liaise with families, schools, and professionals to deliver high-quality support

Requirements:

  • Experience as an EHC Coordinator or similar role
  • Knowledge of SEND legislation and Education, Health, and Care Plans
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a significant caseload effectively
