Barnsley Council have an exciting opportunity for an Educational Psychologist to join the team based in Barnsley. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £51,383 - £61,721 per annum (plus up to 3 SPA points).
Job Responsibility:
Work collaboratively with others to build capacity and bring about positive change for children and young people
Inform and deliver strategic outcomes to promote positive change for children and young people with SEND
Practice within the full range of settings across Barnsley
Provide a psychology service to the Youth Justice Team and Virtual school
Work within a robust, needs-led service model that supports a graduated approach with a focus on building capacity at SEN support
Deliver whole school training, centralised training and drive forward LA SEND agendas through task and finish working party groups
Develop consultation skills to facilitate collaborative working and strengthen existing inclusive practice across Barnsley
Work with children, young people, parents/carers and other professionals through person centred, strength-based approaches that are outcome focused
Requirements:
Professionally qualified and registered with the HCPC or currently in training
Trainees in year 2 or 3 of the training course, newly qualified and experienced Educational Psychologists are welcome to apply
Ability to travel to schools and settings out in the community
Enhanced DBS check required
