Job Description

We are looking to appoint suitably qualified, motivated and innovative practitioners who are passionate about improving the social, emotional and educational lives of children and young people through working collaboratively as part of our team. We are a friendly and supportive team whose primary aim is to use high quality, evidence-based, applied psychology to enable all children and young people to achieve their maximum potential and become confident and emotionally healthy individuals. As a member of the team, you will be encouraged to develop and build on your skills, knowledge and interests in order to contribute to the service offer and strategic development. The service has a strong commitment to professional development and supports team members with ongoing training. The EPS has close links with university courses and excellent relationships with educational settings and partner services across Children’s Services and with CAMHS and other well-being and mental health services.

  • deliver a psychological service (including statutory and non-statutory work) across a range of settings to support children, young people, schools and families
  • excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with children, parents, schools and other professionals
  • professional, well organised and reflective approach
  • skills in facilitating and implementing change across complex systems
  • make a positive contribution to the service and Local Authority
