Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Educational Leader who is serious about curriculum quality and passionate about building the capability of the educators around them. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to lead from a desk — you’ll be hands-on with programming, embedded in the team, and driving real change in practice. You’ll join a purpose-built ACT centre with thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces, a holistic program philosophy, and a leadership team that genuinely invests in their EL. You’ll have dedicated non-contact time built into your week — protected time to plan, reflect, and lead. Our Educational Leader time is structured around a clear rule of thumb: one hour of base EL time per week, plus one additional hour per room in the service. In a 5-room service, that’s 6 hours of protected non-contact time every week. We are currently seeking Educational Leaders for our Ngunnawal centre and Charnwood centre to work permanent full time hours.

Requirements

  • Completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Proven experience in curriculum development and programming
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing educators in an early childhood setting
  • Working knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
  • Working with Vulnerable People (ACT), mandatory
  • National Child Safety Training (GECCKO), mandatory
  • First Aid & CPR (HLTAID004)
  • Asthma Management Certificate
  • Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • Must have full working rights in Australia
