The position’s main objective is to support engagement with undergraduate students to facilitate their success in the Department of Psychology. This position is responsible for responding to student requests and advising students in need of department, college, and university resources. Supports academic advising for Psychology majors. Manages data, communications, and/or marketing resources in support of the Department’s undergraduate students and educational programs. This position will monitor and report the success of these efforts.
Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
Strong knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques
Working knowledge of PC-related software Microsoft Office products and social media platforms
Some technical skills to learn and use enterprise systems needed
Effective oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Good interpersonal skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds
Ability to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse community for the student services office
Ability to build a rapport with students
building trust, flexibility
and an empathetic, non-judgmental, and ethical approach with a diverse group of students
Ability to evaluate a situation, pose solutions, and assist others in making decisions

Demonstrated ability to produce documents using PC-based software such as Microsoft Office Suite to include the ability to enter and manipulate data and produce reports in spreadsheet software
Demonstrated ability to creatively manage web site content and establish a social media presence for the undergraduate program
Some experience in providing support to students at the college level (i.e., student advising, financial aid, student affairs, etc.) Some experience in the educational process of enrollment, supporting and engaging with students representing a diverse population
Basic experience in using professional electronic media (i.e., Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and enterprise software (Banner, Office 365 productivity tools such as, OneDrive, SharePoint, PeopleAdmin)
