We are currently looking for an Education Relations Specialist (Academic Trainer) for the calculators division of a world-renowned global brand. This position focuses on bridging the gap between educational technology and national academic institutions through high-impact workshops and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to: Business Relations Manager. Location: Kuala Lumpur/Field-based. Team size: 3. Job Responsibility:
Focus on purely academic outreach by arranging and driving workshops, training sessions, and seminars for secondary schools, international schools, and tertiary institutions
Act as a key liaison with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and collaborate with both government and non-government organizations to initiate outreach programs and organize Math competitions
Deliver high-impact presentations and technical training on calculator features to large audiences of up to 200 pax, including students, lecturers, and government bodies
Manage relationships with educators to provide device function information that aids in the development of teaching guides and national curriculum integration
Monitor competitor activities within the education sector and gather feedback from school dealers to help management anticipate future educational demands
Requirements:
Possess a Diploma or Degree in Mathematics, Science, or Statistics with a personal track record in Mathematics subjects
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Education, Training, Publishing (Mathematics editor), or a related industry
Confident communicator with exceptional public speaking and presentation skills
ability to command and engage an audience of up to 200 people
Highly adaptable for field-based work, possessing own transport and the ability to commit to heavy outstation travel (approx. 2 weeks per month)
