The United Synagogue is looking for a motivated, creative and highly organised Projects Executive to join our US Education & Events team on a maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about Jewish education, community life and delivering high‑quality programmes that inspire and engage. As a key member of the Education & Events Department, you will help develop, coordinate and run a range of impactful projects, working closely with educators, internal departments, tutors and community partners. You’ll play an active role in shaping educational content, supporting programme delivery and ensuring smooth operations across multiple initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinating the administration and logistics for core programmes
Supporting and managing educational projects delivered both online and in person
Contributing ideas for new programming and helping produce written and video educational content
Editing and supporting the delivery of publications
Conducting research, planning materials and assisting educators in content development
Coordinating the weekly Community Life newsletter and supporting other community-facing initiatives
Liaising with internal departments to ensure consistency, quality and timely delivery
Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries to the Education team
Requirements:

An understanding of cultural sensitivities and inclusion within Jewish learning spaces
Ability to work professionally with stakeholders at all levels
Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
A creative and enthusiastic communicator with strong written and verbal skills
Excellent organisational and administrative abilities, with a talent for juggling multiple projects
Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and builds positive working relationships
Knowledge, passion and curiosity about Jewish education, history, community life and United Synagogue traditions
Confidence producing and editing educational content, including digital materials
