Job Description

Robert Half has a client seeking a Freelance Editorial Lead with healthcare industry experience to support daily internal newsletters for employees across a large organization. This is a part-time, fully remote opportunity anticipated to last approximately three months, with the potential for extension. Weekly hours may vary based on business needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform initial content reviews and editorial quality assurance across a range of materials
  • Enhance clarity, structure, tone, and consistency to align with established standards and guidelines
  • Proactively identify gaps in content to ensure smooth progression
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate content opportunities and recommend optimal formats and approaches
  • Support efficient content workflows from development through final delivery
  • Maintain a steady pipeline of ready-to-publish content to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Work closely with internal communications team and within existing workflows supported by Asana

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in editorial roles or content leadership positions
  • Experience working within healthcare, academic, or other complex, highly regulated environments preferred
  • Proven ability to support high-volume or recurring content production, with experience in fast-paced publishing cycles a plus
  • Strong editorial judgment with the ability to thrive in dynamic, evolving environments
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally with writers, designers, and internal communications teams

Nice to have
