Job Description:

As a Content Editor III, you will oversee a diverse range of complex research and conversational, engaging content from evergreen guides and white papers to podcasts and video scripts to a broad audience. This is a high-level individual contributor role that requires a blend of creative strategy, technical SEO knowledge, and contractor management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Editorial Excellence: Review and optimize content for grammar, brand alignment, and SEO
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm features, audits, and multimedia projects
  • Contractor Management: Identify, onboard, and coordinate a roster of expert writers and video production vendors
  • Quality Control: Assist in the execution of content audits, manage title tags/meta descriptions, and ensure zero duplication across our web properties
  • Research & Authority: Stay ahead of industry trends by analyzing journal articles, press releases, and news to ensure our content remains the gold standard

Requirements:

  • 5+ consecutive years in a professional online editing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • Proficiency in AP Style, WordPress (CMS), G-Suite, and an intermediate understanding of HTML and SEO tools
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A patient and strategic thinker with the keen ability to prioritize and focus

Nice to have:

  • 5+ years of experience editing medical, health, or environmental topics
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics)
  • Familiarity with AI tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, or Hemingway Editor to enhance workflow
