Job Description:

Responsible for promoting and ensuring the effective use of current Litigation Technology to Firm litigation matters. Responsible for adhering to all Global Practice Services (“GPS”) and Information Services (“IS”) policies, procedures, best practices and guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, engaging with legal teams and providing technical support and assistance with the planning, design, development, application and implementation of technology and database systems such as Relativity, Everlaw, Concordance, Opticon, Livenote, Casemap, Timemap Sanction, LAW, external web-based document repositories, and external web-based case management tools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Promoting and ensuring the effective use of current Litigation Technology to Firm litigation matters
  • Adhering to all Global Practice Services (“GPS”) and Information Services (“IS”) policies, procedures, best practices and guidelines
  • Engaging with legal teams and providing technical support and assistance with the planning, design, development, application and implementation of technology and database systems such as Relativity, Everlaw, Concordance, Opticon, Livenote, Casemap, Timemap Sanction, LAW, external web-based document repositories, and external web-based case management tools

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of the litigation process, standard litigation support procedures and concepts
  • Familiarity with basic project management concepts and electronic evidence rules and laws
  • Familiarity with the current Microsoft Office Suite, Relativity, LAW, LiveNote or other comparable transcript handlers, Sanction or other related presentation software and external web-based document repositories and case management tools
  • Self-motivated, quickly learn new software and procedures, exercise good judgment and show initiative in resolving problems and completing assignments
  • Able to organize, plan and prioritize workload
  • Work well under pressure and in a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Four-year college degree
  • Minimum of five years work experience as a litigation technology specialist in an ABA 100 law firm or Fortune 100 corporate legal department
  • Minimum of five years experience with Relativity and an active RCA
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working with external web-based document repository, review or case management tools

  • Developing and delivering training programmes to educate employees on legal and regulatory requirements related to eDiscovery and disposal hold processes
  • Relationship management with eDiscovery vendors, including selecting and retaining vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that vendors provide high-quality eDiscovery services. This includes security and privacy requirements
  • Development and implementation of eDiscovery and disposal hold policies and procedures
  • Collaboration on strategic initiatives and projects to reduce cost and risk associated with the use of electronic data
  • Collaboration and/or consultiion with internal and/or external parties to leverage technology to increase efficiency during the retrieval process for new and existing e-comms data sources
  • Management and implementation of retrieval according to standard operational procedures for centralised data sources as well as preservation processes
