We are looking for an experienced eDiscovery Attorney to support legal review matters in Chicago, Illinois. This Contract position is suited for a licensed attorney who can evaluate large volumes of electronically stored information with precision, sound judgment, and strong collaboration skills. The role focuses on document review, issue spotting, and defensible review workflows across litigation, regulatory, and investigative matters.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the review and assessment of substantial document collections using Microsoft Purview and Relativity to identify relevant information efficiently
Make well-reasoned coding determinations that align with established review guidance, legal obligations, and matter-specific protocols
Recognize documents that may involve privilege, confidentiality, or other sensitive concerns and raise them promptly to the appropriate legal stakeholders
Partner with attorneys and review teams to improve keyword strategies, organize workflows, and strengthen overall review methodology
Perform quality control checks to confirm consistency, accuracy, and completeness throughout the document review process
Record review outcomes, decision logic, and process notes clearly to support defensibility and team alignment
Contribute to discovery efforts tied to litigation, regulatory reviews, and internal investigations while managing shifting priorities and deadlines
Support additional project-based legal review tasks as business needs require
Requirements:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a strong background in eDiscovery and document review matters
Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Purview and Relativity in a legal review environment
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex records carefully and maintain a high level of accuracy when handling large data volumes
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting
