Job Description

The EDI Specialist will work with both internal and external customers to deliver quality EDI integrations that are efficient, scalable and maintainable. This includes interpreting clarifying and coding to specifications as well as testing and maintaining. The position will also work together with external service providers such as SEEBURGER AG in order to manage and obtain support in any business requirement that may come in the future or to support ones implemented in the past.

Job Responsibility

  • Administration and optimization of the EDI services currently used in the Huf plants, conception and design of interfaces with orientation to best practices and industry standards
  • EDI error monitoring and management and liaison with IT and business departments to follow up until resolution
  • Connection of new business partners in the EDI environment based on business needs and priorities
  • Recording, analysis, validation of EDI requirements as well as their implementation including the downstream tests with all relevant stakeholders
  • Participation in EDI projects from the idea to the go-live, both in the national and international environment
  • Realization of SAP EDI solutions under consideration of coordinated S/4HANA roadmaps
  • Coordinate and document overarching EDI requirements and manage the resolution of conflicts that arise
  • Cooperate with business partners and actively participate in the management of external service providers
  • Responsible for the post-processing and ensure its proper documentation
  • Managing and collaborating with EDI service providers to implement new solutions, define company EDI standards, relevant for all stakeholders
  • Actively participating in the EDI subprojects of SAP rollouts executing the EDI activities and supporting the project planning activities

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science (CS/IT) or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience with SEEBURGER or similar EDI Integration software suite
  • Experience working on EDI migration projects involving the change of EDI integrator, ERP systems or VAN partners
  • Knowledge of IDOCs in SAP, XML structures, flat files, etc.
  • Practical experience with EDIFACT, VDA and X12 messages
  • Good technical and process understanding of SAP MM and SD modules
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
