Job Description

As the Regional EDI Manager, you will lead the global Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) strategy and operations, ensuring seamless integration between our company and its global trading partners. You will oversee a team of analysts and collaborate with internal business units, external service providers, and IT architects to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient EDI solutions. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation across the supply chain, finance, and sales functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and execute the global EDI roadmap aligned with the company’s integration strategy
  • Collaborate with the Director of EDI and Integration to align EDI initiatives with enterprise architecture and business goals
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (eg: SAP BTP Integration Suite) to modernize EDI capabilities
  • Collaborate with PMO, IT Managers, and Service Delivery Managers to ensure EDI initiatives are aligned with broader IT and business strategies
  • Manage vendor relationships including contract renewals, performance reviews, and compliance tracking
  • Define, negotiate, and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with EDI and integration service providers to ensure delivery quality and responsiveness
  • Validate and approve vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and budget allocations
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Finance teams to support vendor onboarding, contract lifecycle management, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Ensure vendors are educated on the integration technologies and standards through regular engagement and performance feedback
  • Oversee day-to-day EDI operations, including incident resolution, service requests, and project delivery
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and compliance of EDI systems and integrations
  • Manage relationships with external service providers and trading partners
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of EDI solutions across multiple ERP platforms (SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, QAD)
  • Ensure adherence to global EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12, VDA, ODETTE) and our integration architecture
  • Support the implementation of new business processes and customer requirements through EDI
  • Manage and mentor a global team of EDI analysts and integration specialists
  • Promote a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture
  • Establish and enforce EDI governance, change management, and documentation standards

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in EDI and integration roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
  • Deep knowledge of EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12, VDA, ODETTE) and integration with ERP systems (SAP ECC and S4)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP EDI/ALE, SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite (CPI), IBM B2B Sterling Integrator
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage global stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Automotive industry experience is a strong plus
