Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled EDI Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this role, you will oversee the accuracy and flow of data between our Terminal Operating System and external partners, ensuring seamless synchronization of information related to voyages, containers, bookings, and manifests. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in data analysis and systems integration within the transport industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the integrity and synchronization of data flowing between the Terminal Operating System and external stakeholders, including vessels, vendors, and customers
  • Perform detailed data validation and gap analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies in manifests and system entries
  • Manage and troubleshoot EDI protocols specific to the maritime industry, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Analyze and audit large datasets to detect and address communication issues before they affect terminal operations
  • Develop and implement automated processes using programming languages such as Python to streamline report generation and data cleaning
  • Collaborate with the IT team to maintain hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring operational efficiency and security
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for error resolution and system updates to assist future training and vendor collaboration
  • Provide clear and effective communication to stakeholders, translating technical issues into actionable solutions
  • Support vessel voyage updates and container bookings through Terminal Operating Systems such as Navis N4 or Tideworks
  • Assist with troubleshooting communication failures, identifying root causes related to formatting, network errors, or software issues

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with EDI systems and protocols, particularly in the maritime or transport industry
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed data audits and validations
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python for data automation and cleaning
  • Familiarity with Terminal Operating Systems such as Navis N4, Tideworks, or similar platforms
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network errors, vendor formatting, or software bugs
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Information Technology
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or marine terminal operations is highly preferred
