Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced EDI Analyst to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role focuses on supporting and optimizing electronic data interchange processes within the healthcare sector. As a contract position with the potential to become permanent, this opportunity offers long-term growth while working on challenging and impactful projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor and maintain healthcare transaction processes to ensure smooth operations in a production environment
  • Audit, track, and reconcile incoming and outgoing file transfers to guarantee accuracy and compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to X12 transactions, including 834 (enrollment), 837 (claims), 270/271 (eligibility), and 277CA (claim acknowledgments)
  • Handle various file formats such as X12, flat text files, and proprietary formats
  • Implement encryption methods to secure healthcare data during transmission and ensure safe delivery
  • Configure and manage accounts for internal use and external trading partners
  • Investigate transmission errors, missing acknowledgments, and other data-related issues to minimize disruptions
  • Collaborate with audit, IT, and business teams to address and resolve data discrepancies
  • Utilize Globalscape and Core tools to support integrations and file transfer processes
  • Develop and maintain scripts or automations to streamline operational workflows and improve efficiency

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in healthcare EDI operations or support
  • Strong understanding of X12 transactions, particularly 834 and 837
  • Proficiency in auditing, tracking, and reconciling EDI file transfers
  • Hands-on experience with secure file transfer protocols and data encryption
  • Familiarity with Globalscape or Core EDI tools to manage integrations
  • Knowledge of SQL Server for validation and audit tracking
  • Basic scripting skills to create lightweight automations for operational needs
  • Ability to meet strict compliance requirements in high-volume environments
