Job Description

We are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Worthing who are looking for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to provide PPA cover and general classroom support across Year 2 and Year 5. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT who is keen to gain broad classroom experience, develop confidence across different year groups, and work in a school that values collaboration and professional development.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver pre-planned PPA cover lessons in Year 2 and Year 5
  • Provide general classroom support, working alongside class teachers
  • Maintain positive behaviour and a calm learning environment
  • Adapt confidently to different classes and learning needs
  • Support pupils' learning, engagement, and wellbeing throughout the day
  • Work closely with staff to ensure continuity and consistency

Requirements

  • Qualified ECT (or about to complete induction)
  • Confident working across different year groups
  • Flexible, proactive approach to teaching
  • Builds strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Keen to develop practice in a supportive school setting
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
