Economics Teacher

• Plan and deliver high-quality Economics lessons across KS3–5, including IGCSE and IB
• Support the teaching of Maths and/or Business Studies where required
• Monitor and support student progress, ensuring all pupils reach their potential
• Create an engaging, motivating, and safe learning environment
• Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and departmental initiatives
• Serve as a form tutor and support the pastoral development of students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders
• Participate in staff development, performance reviews, and school-wide initiatives
• Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant undergraduate degree
• Successful teaching experience at secondary level, ideally in Economics at IGCSE and IB levels
• Understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies and curriculum requirements for KS3–5
• Excellent planning, assessment, and organisational skills
• Strong ICT skills and ability to integrate technology into learning
• Ability to motivate and inspire students, raising aspirations and achievement
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
• Collaborative, proactive, and professional approach to work
