As E-commerce Copywriter at Origin, you will support E-commerce and Brand by creating clear, consistent short-form copy across our channels, with a focus on website copy and SEO-led educational content. From paid social and email to product pages, category pages, on-site prompts, blogs and packaging, you will bring Origin’s tone of voice to life and strengthen the customer experience.
Job Responsibility:
Write and edit copy for digital and paid channels, including ads, paid social, landing pages, product and category pages, email campaigns and flows, and organic social
Deliver website copy across the customer journey, including navigation, collection pages, onsite banners, pop-ups and checkout messaging
Create clear, engaging microcopy that drives action in short formats
Proofread and refine content to ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment with Origin’s tone of voice
Research and write longer-form web content, including SEO-led educational blogs, buying guides, coffee knowledge pieces, features and partner spotlights
Collaborate with stakeholders across Ecommerce, Brand, Coffee, Wholesale and Marketing to gather insight, develop briefs and deliver well-informed content on time
Own the blog pipeline, including writing, editing and SEO optimisation, publishing at least four educational articles each month
Partner with the Ecommerce and Digital teams to optimise copy for search intent, readability and conversion
Maintain copy templates, guidelines and version control across campaigns and core content
Requirements:
Strong written English, with excellent grammar, editing and proofreading skills
Confidence writing for digital and paid channels, with an understanding of how copy works across ads, email, social and landing pages
Experience writing for ecommerce and websites, including product and category pages, onsite messaging and conversion-led copy
Ability to adapt tone, structure and messaging for different audiences and formats, from short-form performance copy to long-form educational content
Comfortable working to briefs, managing deadlines and iterating quickly based on feedback and results
Working knowledge of SEO best practice, including keyword use, web readability and search intent
Familiarity with CMS platforms and core digital marketing principles, with a willingness to build depth in these areas
