The Network Quality Intelligence Specialist plays a key role in protecting the integrity of the Awin network by designing, supporting, and executing fraud detection, fraud handling, compliance, and risk mitigation processes across the network. The role requires a strong technical mindset, particularly in working with data, interpreting system outputs, and investigating behavioural patterns within datasets associated with fraudulent or non-compliant activity. The specialist will contribute to maintaining the security and commercial trust of the platform, its advertisers, publishers, and third-party partners by applying structured analytical methods to detect, prevent, and respond to suspicious, abusive, or fraudulent behavior. A fundamental understanding of affiliate marketing mechanics, tracking technology, and performance attribution is essential to this role.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct technical and behavioral reviews of publisher operations on the Awin network, handle communications with Publisher, Advertisers, and Agency client, and activity signals to ensure compliance with platform policies
Analyze publisher websites, traffic behavior, and business models to identify fraud, compliance, or quality risks
Monitor lifecycle activity patterns using platform data, which includes tracking signals, and performance metrics
Perform structured investigations using reporting tools, query-based logic, and business intelligence platforms such as PowerBI and SQL
Identify anomalies in conversion patterns, payment flows, traffic sources, and engagement behavior
Develop repeatable investigation approaches using SQL-like logic, reporting dashboards, or platform analytics tools
Support the development of fraud and risk detection strategies using rule-based analysis, behavioral signals, and emerging intelligence methods
Document investigation outcomes, enforcement decisions, and risk insights
Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring workflows and analytical capabilities
Monitor publisher earnings, conversion attribution signals, and transaction flows across network platforms
Identify irregularities such as abnormal conversion rates, click-to-conversion timing anomalies, or traffic quality concerns
Develop a practical understanding of affiliate tracking mechanisms, including cookie-based attribution, redirect flows, and event capture
Provide guidance to internal teams and external partners on fraud prevention, compliance standards, and network quality best practices
Translate technical findings into clear operational insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
Communicate investigation findings and risk decisions to clients, partners, and internal and external stakeholders in a clear, professional, and commercially aware manner
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in fraud investigation, risk operations, or technical customer operations within digital platforms, fintech, advertising technology, or e-commerce environments
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret structured data outputs and investigate complex behavioural patterns
Intermediate proficiency in query-based analysis (SQL or equivalent logical query thinking is highly desirable)
Fundamental understanding of affiliate marketing ecosystems, including tracking technology, attribution logic, and performance measurement
Proven experience working with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms
Ability to interpret operational data signals and apply structured reasoning to identify risk or compliance concerns
Ability to work with operational workflow tools such as Asana or comparable task management systems
Experience using workflow or ticketing platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or equivalent case management systems
Experience analyzing web intelligence tools such as SimilarWeb or equivalent platforms
Experience with AI/ML-assisted risk detection concepts
Comfort working with technical documentation and operational datasets
Fluency in English is required (knowledge of German is advantageous but not essential)
