Job Responsibility:

  • Echocardiography technologist understands all aspects of cardiac disease and performs different types of echocardiography testing with accuracy and analytical skills, in accordance with BHSF and IAC standards
  • The technologist is responsible for the operation of the laboratory equipment, and for performing and communicating results of all types of echocardiography testing to other healthcare providers
  • The technologist should maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and should be self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of cardiac diseases as well as new procedures and applications as they evolve

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
  • Basic Life Support
  • CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer
  • Graduate from an accredited allied health program, preferably with separate track on cardiovascular ultrasonography
  • Certification in ARDMS-Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or CCI-Registered Cardiac Sonographer
  • Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association
  • Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year
