Perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions
Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies
Performs all diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound testing including M-Mode, two dimensional, color flow mapping, cardiac doppler, echo stress testing, trans-esophageal echo, stress testing, EKG, and Holter application
Prepares patient for ultrasound procedures
Recognizes and promptly reports significant findings to physicians
Maintains echo equipment
Maintains accurate log of echo procedures performed
Requirements
Minimum of two years college with emphasis in medical-sciences and mathematics, upon hire and Verifiable completion of 18 contact hours of in-service/continuing education in clinical Echocardiography, upon hire
Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months and Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
