As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
Job Responsibility:
Perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions
Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data
Produce two-dimensional cardiac ultrasonic recordings to evaluate the anatomy and hemodynamics of the heart
Perform ultrasound procedures, stress echo's, bubble studies and contrast echo's
Prepare patients and perform ultrasound tests based on physicians’ orders
Explain procedures to patients and respond to questions
Utilize equipment and employ techniques to comfort and protect the patient
Perform equipment maintenance, calibration and cleaning
Deliver patient care for all age groups
Act as a liaison between the patient and the physician
Respond to emergency situations
Maintain accurate patient records
Advise nursing staff of any significant change in patient’s condition
Review and compile clinical data
Ensure quality of diagnostic procedures
Perform incidental general office duties
Participate in ordering and inventorying of equipment and supplies
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited school of Sonography
Minimum of one year experience in Echocardiography
Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
