As an Echo Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
Job Responsibility:
Perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions
Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data
Ensure patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies
Use two patient identifiers to ensure accurate patient identification
Compare physician's orders to requisitions for accuracy
Obtain accurate medical history and complete the appropriate worksheet
Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and all diagnostic echocardiographic laboratory examinations
Utilize cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images
Recognize the significance of all visualized structures, differentiate normal from abnormal findings, and identify artifacts
Coordinate work schedule with supervisor and front desk to ensure workload coverage
Requirements:
High School Graduate, upon hire
High School GED, upon hire
Graduate of an accredited Sonography institution and credentialed in Echocardiography Sonography (ARDMS or CCI), upon hire
Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, within 12 - months
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 12 - months
