Job Responsibility:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests
  • Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
  • Carry equipment
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
  • Display proficiency in categories like air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.
  • Use hand and power tools safely
  • Repair or replace PVC copper pipe
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, electrical
  • Program TV's
  • Perform general housekeeping and engineering duties
  • Assist with surface preparation, painting, minor repairs
  • Use Lockout/Tagout system
  • Use engineering computer programs
  • Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems
  • Train and mentor other engineers

Requirements:

  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
