Are you a passionate and creative Early Years specialist looking for a rewarding opportunity? A welcoming primary school in the Blackburn area is currently seeking to appoint a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team starting soon, with roles continuing into the 2026 academic year. If you are ready to shape young minds, we want to hear from you! We are seeking an enthusiastic General Early Years Teaching Assistant to support our youngest learners. This is a full-time support role where you will play a vital part in implementing literacy and numeracy programs while fostering a safe, nurturing environment. We are looking for candidates who are dedicated, creative, and passionate about making a positive impact during these crucial foundation years.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparation of resources and engaging activities for the whole class, small groups, and 1:1 support
  • Implementing literacy and numeracy programs tailored to the EYFS framework
  • Providing feedback to pupils and teachers regarding progress and achievement
  • Collaborating with teachers and specialist support staff to organise appropriate activities
  • Monitoring and tracking pupil development to support personal growth and confidence
  • Promoting positive behaviour and active participation in all classroom activities
  • Assisting with personal care programs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Requirements:

  • TA Qualified (Level 2 or Level 3, or actively working towards one)
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Experience working with young children and knowledge of SEN/learning difficulties
  • Possession of an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to acquire a new one)
  • Comfort managing challenging behaviours with a creative and flexible supporting style
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
